About Us
People often see me, look at my pointed ears, and ask: "Is he an elf? Is he a pixie? Does he come from a magical land?" Here are the answers:
Elizabeth, Wenn, my twin brother Lucien and I are what are known as Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls, or "BJD" for short. That means that we are extremely flexible, not stiff like most dolls. That's right, I know I'm a doll .. A pixie, but still a doll. And why not? Being a doll is a wonderful thing; just ask anyone who cares for a BJD of their own!
I am an Obitsu 55cm boy ... that means I'm just shy of two feet tall. Elizabeth is an Obitsu 47cm girl, so she's just a bit shorter than me. Elizabeth, Lucien and I both have the same pixie ears and head-sculpt -- Gretel #2 -- but even so we look very different. We are hard vinyl, not resin like most BJDs, which is good because I've taken a lot of falls in my travels, and even once broke my wrist! We don't require re-stringing, though my mom does have to tighten a screw or replace a worn or broken part once in a while. Every so often, we get a new face-up (that's a special sort of painting) to touch up our color and refine our features. Elizabeth enjoys having her face repainted; she says it easier than having to put on make-up and keeps her always looking at her loveliest.
Most of our clothes are hand-made by our mom, Cymorill. Little Wenn -- pirate, cowgirl, wild animal trainer and all-around adventuress -- is a Bobobie girl and stands only six inches tall! She's so tiny that all of her clothes are hand-sewn by our mom; she even has a pair of shoes that are less than 1/2" long!
We may be a short group, but we have big fun!!
